The Customer is the largest Lubricants distribution company in Indonesia and accounts for more than 50% market share for two-wheelers and more than 20% market share for four-wheelers. The Customer distributes supplies to more than 1200 retail outlets in the Indonesian archipelago. As the organization was growing at a rapid pace, the Customer was looking for an enterprise resource planning (ERP) solution which provided a collaborative business framework for employees to perform their business tasks with relative ease. For this, they not only needed a solution with strong adaptability and ease of use, but also a partner who understood the business domain and change management to effectively get the users involved in the implementation. Previously, the Customer had chosen Oracle as their ERP solution, but had struggled for two years to implement it. Because of our ERP domain expertise and strong Microsoft Dynamics AX practice, AgreeYa was engaged by the Customer to assist with a new ERP solution. The key challenge was to implement a solution within a short timeframe of four months, which involved deployment and user training across four sites in different geographical regions.

AgreeYa proposed Microsoft Dynamics AX 4.0 along with the ADx (Axapta Distribution Xcelerator) which is a set of add-ons created on Dynamics AX for the distribution industry. The add-ons include a dynamic workflow capability linking the workflow to mobile devices, purchase requisition, delivery order management, business document reversals, local finance enhancements, and supplier and distributor portals. These add-ons, coupled with a rapid deployment methodology which included CBT (Computer Based Training) material for AX, allowed for the solution to be rolled out in the short timeframe of four months. AgreeYa also proposed Atlas XL for Dynamics AX, which is a Microsoft Excel based reporting tool for AX which helped simplify reporting requirements.
