The Customer (the Agency) is a U.S. State Division of Alcohol and Substance Abuse. This agency is responsible for the reporting of National Outcome Measures (NOMs) for alcohol and substance abuse in the State.
The Challenge
The Agency used a web application to collect data from approximately 360 treatment agencies around the State. To provide a more robust environment for future changes and to prepare the Agency for integration with State Medicaid systems, the Agency engaged AgreeYa to migrate the existing web application from a Microsoft ASP to ASP .NET platform. The challenges for this upgrade included:
The Solution
AgreeYa analyzed the system design of the existing web application and proposed a migration strategy based on the best practices recommended by Microsoft. This migration strategy was tailored to the specific business needs of the current application.The next phase of the project consisted of nearly 250 ASP pages being successfully migrated to ASP .NET. AgreeYa then carried out thorough user acceptance testing (UAT) of the migrated application. During the execution of this project, several plans and documents were developed to assist in smooth project management, conversion, and testing processes. The entire project was required to be completed in 14 weeks. The Results
