AgreeYa Solutions named in top 3 of NASSCOM’s ‘Top 15 Exciting Emerging Companies to Work for’ in India
Folsom, CA (January 27, 2009) - AgreeYa Solutions announced their recent selection by NASSCOM, the premier trade body of the IT software and services industry in India, as 3rd place in the “Top 15 Exciting Emerging Companies to Work For” in India. AgreeYa made the list for the second year consecutively and dramatically improved their positioning from last year.

The list resulted from the survey conducted by NASSCOM, in partnership with HR consultancy Right Management, looking at HR practices to benchmark the top 15 small to medium sized companies in the IT/ITES sector. This annual survey was launched in 2007 by NASSCOM and was the first of its kind across any industry, especially the emerging companies segment in India.

The Exciting Emerging Companies (EEC) survey was conducted in four parts:

Online Employee Perception Survey - An online survey was designed to capture the employees’ perception of the Career Development (CD), Fairness & Equity (F&E), Reward & Recognition (R&R), Work Environment (WE), and Work satisfaction (WS), as observed and practiced in their organization. It reflected an employee’s perception on the above parameters on the Climate, Attitude and Satisfaction scale. An Employee Satisfaction Score was generated for each participating firm.

HR Diagnostic Study - A score for each participating company was generated, following an in-depth exercise of meeting their HR personnel, reviewing and analyzing documented HR systems and processes in two parts.
Part A: Vision, Communication, HR Strategy, HR Capability, and HR Metrics.
Part B: Performance Management System, Training and Development System, Career Planning System, Recruitment System, Compensation & Benefits System, and Employee Engagement System.

This was followed by validation of the content of each company’s HR systems/processes, comprehending their vision, and listening to their employees’ views.

Industry Panel run-through - The survey panel was comprised of NASSCOM’s invitees and industry experts to ensure that no ambiguities were prevalent and that there was no experience or expertise bias.

Analysis - The collated data was then calculated and analyzed to arrive at the final list.

Analysis of the top 15 companies revealed certain distinguishing factors which made them an exciting emerging company, and several benchmarks for HR practices were identified.

Employees across participant organizations believe that the following are the most critical considerations for them at their workplace:

• Open and caring relationship with their Supervisors
• Personal recognition
• The existence and communication of Career Growth Options
• Training for current and future roles
• Open relationship with colleagues

Other key findings of the Top 15 companies included:

• They scored higher on the Excitement Index with regards to career development
• The companies’ employees demonstrated a higher perception of fairness and equity in their respective workplaces
• Employees ranked their companies very high with regards to fairness and transparency of employee benefit schemes
• Employees’ expectations regarding their work environment scored higher, with key differentiators including a culture of learning and fun while working
• The companies’ HR systems and processes ranked significantly high and served as the main distinguishing factor on the Excitement Index
